J&J Onboarding

Making a mole hill out of a mountain!

J&J Onboarding

Johnson & Johnson has a long history of innovation. In order to stay on top of the innovation game large companies need to build and foster a start up mentality and culture. Content and Coffee was tasked to develop an onboarding application that would help managers work with and incubate startups into the Johnson and Johnson parent brand. From booking office space, signing documents, completing tasks, to paying deposits and filling forms, the Onboarding Application allowed for secure personalized handling of the startup incubation process.

J&J onboarding and Analysis

Working from rough wireframes provided to Content and Coffee the team was able to see and formulate a working foundation that would allow development to move forward while at the same time not painting anyone into a corner for future changes and features. Content and Coffee was never given a complete picture of what this application would do but our experience and know how allowed us to begin in an agile way and have velocity.

J&J onboarding and Strategy

Using the existing Drupal 8 architecture provided by Johnson & Johnson we employed a full custom approach that mapped entities and processes from event storming post-its to models and controllers. This means that we took Drupal 8 and brought it back to it's Symfony MVC roots. The result is a product that lives and breathes, but most importantly flexes.

J&J Onboarding and Agile

Content and Coffee implemented a simple set of internal agile practices to work with this client effectively. Taking requests and features and grouping these into internally managed two week sprints with retrospective demos and feedback. This gave developers a good working arrangement of containable sprints while at the same time not inconveniencing the client with agile participation.
